بھارت کے دارالحکومت نئی دہلی میں چیف الیکشن کمشنر گیانیش کمار کے خلاف احتجاج کے پیش نظر سیکیورٹی کے سخت انتظامات کیے گئے ہیں، جبکہ پولیس اور نیم فوجی دستوں کے 20 ہزار سے زائد اہلکار تعینات کرنے کی تیاری کی گئی ہے۔

این ڈی ٹی وی کے مطابق کاکروچ جنتا پارٹی (سی جے پی) نے جَنتر منتر پر احتجاج کی کال دی ہے، تاہم پولیس نے مظاہرے کی اجازت نہیں دی۔ احتجاج کے پیش نظر نئی دہلی کے حساس علاقوں میں نگرانی بڑھا دی گئی ہے اور 300 سے زائد سی سی ٹی وی کیمرے نصب کیے گئے ہیں، جن میں آواز ریکارڈ کرنے کی سہولت بھی موجود ہے۔
رپورٹ کے مطابق دہلی میٹرو کے 45 اسٹیشنوں کے داخلی اور خارجی راستے بند رکھنے کا اعلان کیا گیا، جبکہ نئی دہلی اور حضرت نظام الدین ریلوے اسٹیشنوں پر ہفتے کی صبح 4 بجے سے دوپہر 2 بجے کے درمیان پہنچنے والی 250 سے زائد بیرونِ ریاست اور مقامی ٹرینیں منسوخ کی گئیں۔ احتجاجی مقام کے قریب قریباً 4 کلومیٹر کے علاقے میں موبائل انٹرنیٹ سروس بھی 24 گھنٹے کے لیے معطل کی گئی۔

YouTuber and digital creator Dhruv Rathee has arrived in New Delhi ahead of Saturday’s planned protest against alleged irregularities in electoral rolls and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The October 10 demonstration is scheduled to take place at Jantar Mantar under the broader campaign against what organisers describe as “vote chori” (vote theft). Protesters are demanding greater transparency in the electoral process and accountability over the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Rathee, who joined a protest in Bengaluru on October 8 alongside actor Prakash Raj and other activists, has criticised the Election Commission over alleged shortcomings in transparency and accountability.
The upcoming Delhi demonstration is expected to bring together student organisations, activists and political groups. Organisers have called for public participation, while authorities have stepped up security measures ahead of the gathering.
The central question remains: Will the protest intensify demands for electoral transparency and accountability from the Election Commission?
